Hit me up at I've been on a digging frenzy and I have so much dope shit that I don't know where to start chopping haha I know some producers don't have the time to dig for crazy shit so I figure that has to be a way for me profit off all the time I've spent digging haha I've googled most of the good shit I've found to make sure no one has has already made beats out of this stuff. All of this stuff is from the 60s/70s/80s and ranges from afrobeat/funk/soul/blues/disco/prog rock/psychedelia/new wave A lot of this stuff contains shit that sounds dope looped.so you can do as much or as little chopping as your heart desires. Please let me know if there is a better place to try to get this shit off my hands.I'm having a hard time finding info about doing something like this. ---------- Post added at 01:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:45 PM ---------- I'm not the best beatmaker but I've got an ear for samples. Here is one that isn't all that rare compared to the rest of the shit I've got on my hands.threw this together without bothering to add any of my own sounds like drums or whatever Last edited by im1ufo; at 11:07 AM.
Lol chances are if you found them on them online they are NOT rare. Also you have no idea whether someone else sampled em or not. There could be uh nigga across the Atlantic in Timbuktoo choppin up that shit right now. He's probably adding the finishing touches like I am this post & as quick as I click 'Post Quick Reply' he's clicking 'Send' to send the beat to Mac Miller, Tity Boi, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, etc. ---------- Post added at 01:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:56 PM ---------- Nice flip. Lol chances are if you found them on them online they are NOT rare.I disagree.this article is what inspired me to make this thread: Let’s face it everyone is digging in the crates for samples. The inherent problem with diggin for vinyl is that everyone is sampling the same material and diggin in the same spots.
In order to get unique samples, you have to dig hard (in other countries) and spend money (trade shows, rare vinyl, etc.). If you are like me, geographically displaced (I live in Alaska) finding rare samples and vinyl isn’t easy or possible. Again, less time spent making music and more time searching for samples. If you thoroughly enjoy digging for vinyl and are passionate, it makes sense to continue diggin in the crates. However, there is a whole new world of music waiting to be chopped up. Most old music ends up on youtube these days.if I can't even find the shit on youtube I gotta assume it's fairly rare right?

I'm js what you think is rare doesn't mean it is, or to the extent that you think it is. Just like if I showed you uh picture of my lil brother it wouldn't mean sh!t to you, but obviously it means somethin ta me. You may think $20 is alot, when I think $20 ain't sh!t. It's all about your perception, & when we're talkin about this thing we call music, the finished product.
It's sad to say that alot ppl flippin these rare samples are in fact ruining the original song. I guess producers should just stop sampling other people's music.afterall, it's not a very hip hop thing to do right? The world needs MORE synth beats! Don't get me wrong I started off samplin, I love it, but since I got into this music theory I done left it alone. That's what all music is in the first place anyway.
Even uh few years ago, but especially now in 2012, if you can't add any instrumentation over a sample the beat is NOT finished. It's uh touchy subject for summ niggas cause they can flip samples for days, but cain't make uh SONG out of it. I may not be able to make 'songs' but I can hear a loop in anything and make it hip hop The shit I'm keeping under wraps is 10x more rare than this beat I'm sharing but similar in sonics and style.this was a hit track in another country during the 70's.I know what it is but let's see if you guys can name it. I didn't mangle it at all.just straight up looped it and added the choir vox in spots.did some processing to bring out the bass and beef it up.
There are producers here 10x more talented than I am so why not give someone the opportunity to make a song out of something that GROOVES That is the common thread in all my samples.shit grooves.I have a wide variety of shit in my collection but I like to keep it rocked out and funky. Here is what my shit sounds like with vocals on it (acapella from 'Dear Sirs' by El-P) Last edited by im1ufo; at 01:37 PM.
This is the UK original from The Selecter - on my Radio / Too much pressure on Two Tone Records from 1979. Catalogue number CHS TT4. The vinyls are clean, couple of surface marks, grading of VG is conservative, I have played both sides of the record and they play well with no jumps or sticks. The company paper sleeve is slightly discoloured on the white bit, but that’s age related, bit of wear on back of sleeve ( in photos). All in all, great single, and I believe priced on the money. As always I give a full no quibble refund if not totally happy. Many thanks for looking.
